INTRODUCTION TO SERVE

God is on a mission - a mission to reclaim, redeem, and fix a broken planet ... beginning with individuals, families, circle of friends, neighborhoods, communities, states, countries ... the world at large. His mission is far greater than any one individual, community, church or religious organization can tackle by itself. If Henry Blackaby is right, then these seven realities will pan out in your life:

God is always at work around you.
God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.
God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.
God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.
God's invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
You come to know God by experience as you obey Him and He accomplishes His work through you.

That being said, God's work around you involves your participation in it. He has uniquely gifted you with talents, skills, with training in various fields, with passions, with spiritual gifts, etc. so you can employ these in His kingdom work and join Him in it. A major component is His church. At LIFE, our aim is to join God's mission here in Las Vegas, the West, and the rest of the world. Whatever we do here will have an impact in places everywhere. As you seek to find your place of service, we want to come alongside you and help you discover your gifts, your talents, your passions, etc. and find a place of service for you that suits you best and helps propel God's work here in Las Vegas through the ministries at LIFE.
